Coomba Park Road was the venue for the Annual Dick Budden Memorial Handicap held on Saturday afternoon. Three laps totalling 54kms was the race distance with a good prize pool to reward the top five riders & fastest time. Darren Harvey & Graeme Budden rode the race of their lives, assisted by Donna Bayley & Jodie Lee Flanagan-Schneider to hold off the chasing scratch bunch which had managed to reel in most of the preceding bunches. Harvey made his move on the way home to the finish & held on to the win from Budden a short distance behind.  Ben Hayward also rode well to win the sprint for third place, easily beating Bill Harris & Phil Mitchell.  The sprint amongst the chasing bunch was taken out by Glen Handford from Noel Mathiske, Ian Budden & Graham Norris who took out fastest time, riding from the scratch mark. Mick Cross decorated the road a couple of times with a technicolour yawn, riding with little fitness & wife Tanya had to pull out due to a hamstring injury.
