27 dedicated MVCC riders, a poor showing despite our membership, made the journey to the challenging Port Macquarie road coarse, set on the old pacific hwy south of Port Macquaire it was going to be a test for all the visitors.
A, C & D grades were farily well balance with B and E grade the exception being out numbered 2-1.
The major highlight of the event was the fantastic win by new to A grade ride Wayne Callaghan, Wayne featured in a first lap break away with 3 others, this was soon reduced to 2. Wayne and the rider from port managed to hang on to and at times extend there lead on the main field who were playing a game of cat mouse. Coming into the sight of the finish line Wayne had riden away from his break away companion to record a solo and well deserved victory. Josh Blick managed a credible 3rd place to win the bunch gallop after a major mechanial only minutes from the start.
The other grades only managed to pick up minor places outside the top 5.

Final point score for the MVCC/Port Macquarie Interclub shield 2010, MVCC 162, Port Macquaire 425
