Wednesday night racing at Kolodong greeted riders with reasonably pleasent conditions. The Juniors raced a three lap handicap around the fast Kolodong course. Cale Dawson used his mark well to ride a strong race to take first away from Baxter Pattison and Ben Cross.
B and D grade were the first senior grades underway. D grade was one by a very consistent and strong Harold Greenhalgh, coming in second was Walter Van-Hilst and in third was a new member to teh club David Cowley.
B grade lapped the circuit with some strong attacks being laid down by riders. Jack Steedman made a strong move a lap to early, however this strong show of strength has not gone unnoticed. Line honours went to Brett Provost From Ian Budden and Jim Thompson.
A and C grades rounded out the evenings events. C grade was taken out by a new comer to the club, Geoff Maud. John Hawkins took second followed by Wilf Alley.
A grade was run at a fast pace with some high speeds being produced in the first few laps. Phil Grenfell made a good tactical move to jump before the bunch was ready. Dan Aldridge was nearly able to come over Grenfell while Beau Harper rounded out the top three.
