This week saw riders take to the track at Brimbin Road. The Juniors raced three laps on a modified seniors course. It appeared that some of the younger riders were finding it a challenge riding a slightly hillier course than usual. Ben Cross took out the win on his new bike followed Emma Sewell who has made the jump up from a back-pedal bike to a mountain bike and third was Axel Fannigan-Schneider.

A and B grade raced together in a handicap event, this saw the division being divided into four bunches on teh road. The limit bunch seemed confident at the start of staying away as calculations were made by some in regards to the speed differential need by the scratch bunch to catch them. Apparently the scratch had to go 6km/h faster than the limit riders. All bunches started hard to stave of the bunch group of Grenfill, Nicholson, Aldridge, Blick and Harper. There were definite gains by all bunches on their block bunch however, it was still uncertain as to whether there would be definite catches. In the 2nd last lap scratch were able to pull in a dwindling scatch bunch of the hard working Mathiske, Worth and Knowles. The was still able to work together and at the last turnaround with under a kilometer to go all bunches had been joined to form a long line of riders. It was left to Nichols and Grenfill to bring the scratchies up past the rest to go for outright honours. At the finish the A graders came over the line first with Phil Grenfill off scratch taking first followed by the strong and consistent Daniel Aldridge with the ever improving Daniel Clinch rounding out the top 3.

B Grade results for the top three positions were as follows. First was Jack Steedman who is showing great improvement to position himself well in a massive bunch sprint, Second was a new member Daniel Crossingham who looks like he will make a good transition from triathlon to cycle racing, and third was a consistent and dangerous Anthony Cross who continues to move himself further away in the point score from his other competitors.

D and C were last off today. The same format was applied to these grades with some strong bunches being formed. The limit bunch was made up of Caroline Pattison, Oscar Watson-Sutherland and Matt Blick. This was an interesting bunch to watch as Pattison was in total control of the bunch as she towed around the younger riders. The other bunches between scratch and limit seemed to be holding their own as scratch slowly reeled them in. In the last lap limit were still away and were in no threat of being caught. Blick jumped on pattison to try and create a win for himself. He looked like he would hold. However, pattison dug deep to limit the time Blick put in up the hill to the turn around. Pattison was then able to use her strength to come around Blick and finish first. Second in the race was Matt Blick followed in by a fast moving bunch.

In C grade first went to the ever young Mal Saad, second was the stealthy Judy Corbett and third was Geoff Maude.

In D grade Caroline Pattison took out first, followed by Matt Blick and Jodi-Lee Flannigan-Schneider.
