Wednesday night's criteriums included the A and C Grade Championships at the club's Kolodong circuit.

A Grade were underway first as they raced for 30 minutes plus 2 laps. There were several breaks early in the piece as Josh Blick and Jason Parker worked well to make the race harder. The race saw most riders holding their cards close to their chests though with attacks less forthcoming from the bunch. With the call for 2 laps to go Rhett Pattison took to the front to keep the pace high, but it was Josh Blick who mad a big sacrifice to drive the bunch around the last lap ensuring only the strong were left to contest the finish. Beau Harper put in an all or nothing effort for the line from the Master Masonry corner but was outclassed by the sprint king Dan Aldridge who put metres into Harper and Michael Cross over the line, who finished 2nd and 3rd respectively.

C Grade also raced for 30 minutes and 2 laps for their championship. The race was hotly contested and made difficult by the chance to claim the criterium championship for 2009. Shane Dowsett put in some big efforts which saw many of the riders grimace as they passed the finishing line each lap. In the last 2 laps the riders started to jostle for wheels. The final lap was tense as riders tried to maintain the position in the bunch they had worked so hard for. As they came around the final corner & up over the hill to the finish line it was Sean Sadler who held his nerve and used his sprint at the right time to come over Russell Davis to take the title win.  Workhorse, Shane Dowsett put in a last ditch effort to come over Tanya Cross for 3rd.

B grade was a fast race as Phil Grenfel took control of the race to whip the pace up. Racing was fast and furious as many riders took their turn at making each other hurt. Across the line for first place was once again Justin Shearer, who must be looking for a promotion, followed closely by Anthony Cross and Daniel Crossingham.

D1 was an interesting and enjoyable race to watch as the younger juniors continue to fight it out with some of the more senior members of the club. At the finish it was a battle to the line by two of the up & coming junior members of the club, Kelly Nicholson and David Cowley. Today though it was Kelly who took out the win from David with the top three being rounded out by Zoe Dowsett with another strong ride.

D2 saw a three rider breakaway get away quite early in the race. They worked well together to stay away with the sprint for the line being taken out by Sam Kerslake with second going to Tyler Nicholson and third to Mary Frost.

The Junior Grade was packed full of excited and smiley faced kids. They raced a three lap handicap with the eventual winner being Michael Dowsett.  Second was Tom Steedman and third, a fast finishing Lachlan Cross.
